Alisal-Watsonville soccer

 A tuneup before the playoffs begins tonight when Alisal puts its regular season unbeaten streak of 42 games on the line, hosting defending Central Coast Section Division I champion Watsonville.
 The Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division champion Trojans will close the regular season at Gilroy on Feb. 14, a team that played them to a 1-1 tie on Jan. 24.
 Alisal's magical run over the last two years has been interrupted only by a penalty kick loss in last year's CCS Division I quarterfinals.
 In fact, Alisal's last two losses in the postseason have come on penalty kicks.
 Over the last two years, Alisal has outscored the opposition 114-21, with its defense producing 24 shutouts.
