No one wants to face a team three times in a season, unless it's for a title.
Yet, when Pacific Grove hosts Stevenson tonight and Greenfield entertains King City, that's exactly what will occur.
Perhaps the feeling was closer in proximately would create a bigger gate and less travel expenses when these arguments were made at the CCS seeding meeting.
But I would have rather seen King City face Pacific Grove for just the second time and Greenfield host Stevenson.
Greenfield, who set a single-season school record for wins, is making just its second ever playoff appearance. And the reward is a game with your neighbor to the south?
For what it's worth, the two teams did split their head-to-head battles.
