CCS Division IV boys hoops

Just getting through its first playoff game today will be the key for top seed Seaside, who faces Kings Academy at 2:45 p.m. at Menlo School.
This is the same Kings Academy program that went into Seaside last year and knocked them out in the first round of the Division IV playoffs.
But this is a different looking Seaside (19-3) squad with four all-league caliber players in the starting lineup.
No. 2 seed Palma meanwhile spent the week attempting to regain its continuity on the floor with the return of Noah Allen three weeks ago.
The Chieftains, who face Gunderson at 1 p.m. at Menlo, can not stand around and wait for Allen to make something happen.
This is a team that went 7-3 in his absence. But it's also a program that needs Allen if it's going to make a run at its first CCS title since 2007.
