Boys hoops XXIII

Seaside
This is the best lineup Seaside has put on the court since it won the Northern California Division III title in 1992.
Transfers Michael and Ronnie Turner were all-leaguers last year at Alvarez. The pair provide size in the paint and the ability to ignite Seaside's up-tempo offense.
The return of all-league guard Joseph Jakubowsky and his 15 points a game along with Kyle Hieb, who should've been an all-leaguer, gives the Spartans four players that can light up a scoreboard.
The attentions of the Turner brothers makes Seaside's bench the deepest in the county. Discipline will be critical in tight games.

Best since 92? what you talkin bout Willis! There's no legit threat in the paint and you can't say this team is better the 01 Tony Curtis led Spartans. Very talented though I agree. Let's cheer these young men with red n black pumping throughout our sneakers.

Tough to say how good seaside is. They haven't really defeated any team yet of strength. Maybe #2 in Gab division, but will have tough matchup against Palma. Antelope was a tough team, but a loss. Should be playoff bound though.

Seaside's '06 team was pretty tough too that made it to the CCS finals after upsetting St Ignatius and then losing to Rob Jones and Riordan in the finals ! The team with Tony Curtis and those guys played in a weak MTAL which eventually led to them losing in the first round of CCS. This years team is truly talented however they haven't been tested yet. The Gab division will be a good test for them and prepare them for the D4 playoffs! Losing to Antelope by 14 , only down 4 after the first quarter will give Seaside the confidence it will need heading to league.. A team can find out more about its self with a good loss than a bad win!! Hopefully NorCalsportsfan will be at the Palma -Seaside game and a have new found respect for Seaside!! FYI Seaside already qualified to get on the board for Playoffs and WILL be in the playoffs .. MLB Gav winner will get the number 1 or 2 seed in D4 playoffs !!

I was at that 06 championship game too. Good team but they lacked a big man like this team does. This team reminds me of that team with Joe playing Jermaine and Ronnie playing Joe Collins. a very quick and athletic team. I would put the first round loss of 01 on a full court press the entire game and no legs at the end to run it effectively when needed the most.
