Palma-San Benito football

Palma (7-2) at San Benito (5-4), Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Remember when Palma lost two straight games? Or when it was down 12-0 in the third quarter and staring at a third straight defeat?
The team wasn't in sync on offense. The defense was spending a lot of time on the field.
In perhaps his boldest move since going for two points and the win in the CCS Open Division title game in 2001, Palma coach Jeff Carnazzo changed quarterbacks in the second half of Week 4.
Palma has not lost a game since Mitch Kidd stepped in behind center, having gathered no worse than a share of its 28th league title in 30 years.
San Benito went 49 days between wins on the field. Now it has rattled off three straight wins, having scored 175 points in three games.
Last year the Balers snapped a five-game losing streak to Palma.
The last three games between the two powers have been decided by a total of five points.
