Next to Seaside, these are two of the best defenses in the area. Monte Vista has also been an offensive juggernaut, having scored 50 or more points five times.
But the Mustangs have beaten just one team with a .500 record this fall. The third quarter has been a thorn in Alisal's side as it has been outscored 53-20.
Monte Vista quarterback Nick Matiasevich has just two interceptions in 180 attempts. He's thrown for nearly 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Trojans struggled in the second half last week in stopping the pass. While Monte Vista isn't as quick as Seaside, its passing attack could present matchup problems.
