Palma (3-2) at North County (3-2), Saturday, 2 p.m.
Once upon a time, this was the biggest rivalry in the county.
After scoring 34 points in its first 18 quarters, Palma has scored 50 in its last six. Mitch Kidd has given the offense some life at quarterback, throwing for 285 yards in his last two games.
Brandon Olivares has gotten the bulk of the carries over the last three games for Palma as Marcus Washington continues to heel from a leg injury.
After a narrow one-point loss to unbeaten Seaside, the Condors needed nearly all 48 minutes to beat Watsonville last week, scoring with three seconds left in a 28-26 win.
North County quarterback Isaiah Garcia might be the best running quarterback in the county, piling up over 200 yards last week.
