Los Medanos (2-1) at MPC (0-2), Saturday, 6 p.m.
Winless last year, the Pirates are 2-0 this fall against the Coast Conference with wins over Hartnell and Cabrillo.
Against Hartnell, Los Medanos ran off the games last 27 points to pull out a 43-37 win in overtime. A touchdown in the final 2:38 against Cabrillo propelled them to a 35-33 win.
The Lobos are the second lowest scoring team in the state at eight points a game. MPC is averaging just 44 yards on the ground.
Receivers Ronald Saxton and Huitton Buley have been bright spots, combining for 15 catches and two touchdowns.
MPC actually scored first last week against Foothill before surrendering 42 unanswered points. It has been outscored 101-16 in its first two games.
