 Add a 14-1 loss a week later and the Pirates had given up 51 runs in five games.
 Stevenson gave up 51 runs the rest of the season.
 It avenged two of those losses, going 10-2 down the stretch - outscoring its last three opponents 34-6 to earn a playoff spot.
 You probably can't name one player on this team. This is the best kept secret. No one did a better job of getting a cast of unknowns into believing than head coach Thomas Main.
