Stevenson softball

What a job Stevenson coach Thomas Main has done this spring.
A program that didn't play its first game until 20 days after most teams, was beaten 18-0 in its opener, is vying for a playoff spot.
A cast of unknowns is 8-2 in its last 10 games, rallying for three runs in the seventh on Monday to stun North County.
The only recognizable name on the Stevenson squad  is Dani Marangoni-Simonsen, and that's more for her last name.
While winning five straight MTAL titles from 2006-2010 was aided by six future Division I players, the Pirates rise this spring comes with very few travel ball players, but one talented water polo player.
