If I'm the Notre Dame junior, I drop the 400 for this week's Central Coast Section track and field trails.
 While Paulo broke her own school record in winning the 400 at last week's TCAL finals in 59.24, the mark doesn't have her in the top 10 in the CCS.
 However clocking a personal best of 46.62 in defending her TCAL 300 low hurdles title last week has vaulted her to fifth in the section.
 I'd like to see Paulo run the 300 low hurdles without a 400 in front of her.
 One more note of interest. The Spirits 1,600 relay team -- which Paulo anchors - is on the cusp of reaching the CCS finals.
