Stevo Ventimilia

The freshman second baseman is tearing up pitching for the University of Hawaii, raising his average 26 points last week to a team high .323 this spring.
Ventimilia, who moved into the leadoff spot after his hot start at the plate, has also walked a team high 27 times, having reached base in 27 of the Rainbows 29 games.
A four-year starter at Monterey High, Ventimilia leads the Hawaii (17-12) in runs scored (23), steals (8) and on-base-percentage (.465). He is second in hits and sports a .964 fielding percentage.
