If the Pirates are going to make a run at their first MTAL title in 31 years, they have to find a way to win a game against a playoff caliber team on the road.
Stevenson, who visits King City today, is 1-2 on the road this spring with setbacks at Pacific Grove and Soledad.
Meanwhile, the Mustangs are 3-1 at the friendly and at times windy confines of home.
Barring an appeal, Stevenson will play the game without one of its leading hitters, who was ejected in the teams last game against Pacific Grove.
Equally important is both teams sit one game behind defending champion Carmel. Both of King City's setbacks were to Carmel.
