We all know about Carmel's run of 14 consecutive Mission Trail Athletic League titles and run of 123 straight dual meet wins on the track.
Still, Santa Catalina is going to show up today. And it will win its share of events and keep this meet close with hurdler Kendra Hoffman and Lizzy Tardieu in the 400 and 800.
But it's tough to win a win with just a dozen or so athletes. The Padres have too much depth behind distance ace Mackenzie Dooner.
