SB-Salinas softball

 If Salinas is hitting its stride, the timing couldn't be better.
 Nationally ranked San Benito has won 20 straight TCAL games entering today's battle with Salinas and is 14-1 overall.
 The Balers have strong-armed the TCAL this spring, having outscored their first seven opponents 73-8, beating Salinas 8-0 on March 22.
 Being humbled served as a wake up call for Salinas.
 Justine Armento is throwing as well as any hurler in the area over the last eight games while providing a potent bat along with Marisa Bravo, Sam Moore and Melinda Nobusada.
 Salinas believes it belongs on the same field as the six-time defending CCS champion Balers. I'm not sure that was the case a month ago.
