The calender may say April 24. But today's game is essentially for the Monterey Bay League title -- or at least a share of it.
 Unbeaten Christopher handed two-time MBL champion Monterey its only loss on March 22, scoring a run in the 11th inning to post a 4-3 win.
 While Monterey put together nine hits on that chilly night, it struck out a season high 14 times again Aly Olvera, leaving runners on the bases in seven innings.
 Tia Ruvalcaba and Katelyn Silva have both reached base in 14 of the Toreadores 16 games. Clarissa Cortez has struck out a league leading 115 hitters.
