Maybe Salinas wouldn't root for Palma to beat San Benito earlier this year in baseball.

But I bet Palma is pulling for the Cowboys to knock off the Balers next Tuesday.
Because a Salinas win would put Palma in a tie with San Benito, making its game with the Balers on May 8 essentially for the TCAL title.
