Depending on today's West Valley-San Jose City outcome, the Lobos could find themselves in first place in the Coast Conference's South Division.
With 25 wins, MPC is chasing its first playoff appearance in over a decade. A win in its season finale at San Jose on Tuesday would lock up a No. 2 spot at worst, clinching a postseason spot.
The Lobos have had a turnaround season behind the arm of freshmen pitcher Alyssa Razo and infielder Janessa Kaehi, who is weighing an offer from Louisville.
Razo has had former Salinas High teammate Brittany Enny as her batterymate behind the plate while King City grad Mandy Muzyowloski has provided some pop in the order.
