Over his last six games, the Monterey graduate has raised his batting average nearly 30 points to .315 for the University of Hawaii baseball team.
The freshmen second baseman has reached base in all 17 games, leading the Rainbows in walks (19), runs scored (15) and steals (6).
Hitting in the No. 2 spot for Hawaii, the left-handed swinging Ventimilia is second in hits and third in runs batted in.
