Four players that started as freshman for the Chieftains are now juniors. Three of them were all-leaguers last spring as sophomores, including pitcher/catcher Cameron Neff.
Neff hit .800 in the first half of the season last year for Palma, leading the team in hits, doubles and runs batted in.
Yet, the most dangerous hitter in the lineup might be leadoff batter Jack Ross, who led the team in home runs -- hitting one from both sides of the plate in one game last year.
Ross, who walked a county high 28 times last year, also controls a lot of ground in center field.
Did Palma find another live arm to go along with Neff and Charles Byers in Brandon Creecy, who fired a three-hit shutout in his season debut?

Creecy and Neff are cousins
