The first place Chieftains have back-to-back battles with six-time reigning TCAL champion San Benito on Thursday and Friday, with the opener in Hollister on March 29.
Ironically Palma beat San Benito 2-1 on March 29 of last year in Hollister and again on April 13.
Anthony Payan has packed a punch at the plate for Palma while Cameron Neff and Alex Irwin are among the county leaders in multiple hit games.
Pitching will likely dictate the opener. Look for Neff and San Benito's Anthony Campo to engage in a pitchers delight.
