But the Toreadores made it clear that the road still goes through Monterey, ending Monte Vista's eight game winning streak with a 13-3 win.
Two days earlier, the Mustangs ended the Toreadores 28-game MBL winning streak.
The two teams will meet one more time at Monte Vista. And don't forget Christopher, who will likely be unbeaten in the MBL when it faces Monterey on April 18.
Yet, that identity Monterey has been searching for may have been discovered.
