What a week for the former Monterey High baseball standout.
Poma was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week after hitting .800 for the Hofstra baseball team.
The senior outfielder had six doubles and a homer among his eight hits. He also walked three times and was hit-by-a-pitch twice, giving him an .867 on-base percentage.
Poma is hitting. 420 on the season for Hofstra with a team high 14 doubles, 30 runs batted in and 10 steals.
