If we learned anything about the Vikings in their upset over Watsonville, it's that guards David Daye and C.J. Varney are clutch.
 The pair combined for 18 of the teams 21 points to help erase a seven-point fourth quarter deficit.
 With opponents focusing on stopping 6-foot-5 Daniel Vann-Victorino -- and they should -- Daye and Varney have given the opposition something else to concern themselves with.
 Oh, by the way, North Salinas is 7-3 on the road against teams outside the TCAL heading into tonight's Division I battle at Santa Clara.
