Cristian Soratos continued from where he left off in the fall, earning Northern California qualifying marks in the 1,500 and 3,000 over the weekend.
 The Panthers distance ace won the 1,500 in 4:00.35 and 3,000 in 8:55.27. Teammate Frankie Martinez earned qualifying marks in the shot put (43-6), discus (130-2) and hammer (131-7).
 Freshman sprinter Ashley Jones won the 100 (13.00) and 200 (27.63) while Victoria Alcala recorded the fastest 3,000 meter time at Hartnell in 18 years (10:59.77).
