Part of last year's turnaround for the Otters stemmed from going 15-13 overall at home, the first time the program had ever posted a .500 or better home record.
Building off last season's school record 21 win season, the Otters are 9-3 at home this year, including a dramatic 7-6 win in 16 innings over San Bernardino on Sunday.
Second year head coach Walt White has changed the culture of the program. CSUMB is 12-6 overall. It has never been better than seven games under .500.
What I like is White has mixed in local talent from Gilroy to Salinas, including former Cowboys Jesse White and David Holland, as well as Monterey alum Chris Lopiccolo.
