22 basketball teams in 11 days XXII

Marina
Two of its mainstays, players that were a part of the program since its inception four years ago, have graduated. Gone is the coach that built Marina with just seven players into a playoff team.
Marina still doesn't have a home to practice or play games in. It has never had a junior varsity team.
Are those factors starting to creep up on the Mariners?
Ricardo Esparza-Ponce is one of the top 3-point shooters this county has ever seen, having buried 101 last season. The hope is he is back for the start of league play.
If 6-foot-7 Nick Drinovsky becomes a factor in the paint, Marina has something going.

Ricardo Poncs is a dynamic scorer. He was back at last weeks' Steinbach Classic hosted by North Salinas. He averaged over 20 points a game during the tourney with a high of 29 against Coalinga.
