Anytime you have one of the best players in the league in Devin Pearson, you're going to challenge for supremacy.
And while the cupboard was gutted by graduation, you can't ignore the defending MTAL champions as a threat to repeat the feat.
Pearson might be the best defensive guard in the area. He will create shots with a quick first step to the basket from either the point or wing. He will make his teammates around him better.
Chemistry is the biggest issue for Carmel right now. It wasn't always there in the preseason. Pearson and three others were six weeks late because of football.
