His full attention is on basketball now. And it showed on Tuesday when Jack Powers came off the bench in the second half to produce 11 points, eight rebounds and one dazzling assist for Palma.
The 6-foot-6, 258-pound defensive end also drew rave reviews last weekend in an all-star underclassmen football combine in Fresno.
Also invited to the combine was teammate Hildelv Manzur, who is one of the top ranked heavyweight wrestlers in the Central Coast Section.

Do you know what combine they attended? Who sponsors?
Cal Hi Rising Star All-Star combine in Fresno.
That's the one I thought it was. Was trying to find a write up on the camp. Powers is also attending an invitation only elite camp in Arizona in January.
Hildev just took 5th in the Sierra Nevada Classic wrestling tournament. He lost to the champion, the number 5 ranked wrestler in the state, but defeated the #6 ranked wrestler. I imagine he will move up from #390 in the state to possibly in the top 10-15. In CCS he will be ranked probably 2 or 3, to the kids from Jonathon from Seaside (#1 and placed 2nd in CCS last year) and Gilroy. He is positioned to win or place high in CCS this year and get to state. The top wrestler at 285 lbs is a soph from Clovis who won state last year and is #4 nationally at HWY weight. Maybe manzur will get to #2 in state by senior year. He is one of the top ones in his class including the Seaside hvweight.
