Soledad (6-4-1)
First year coach Frankie Berlanga did what the previous seven coaches couldn't. He got the Aztecs into the playoffs for the first time ever.
Soledad set school records for points, erasing an 0-2 start by going 5-1-1 down the stretch. It beat King City for the first time in nine years. Its defense held opponents to 35 points in the fourth quarter.
This might have been the best story of the year: Final grade: A minus.
