Salinas-Palo Alto volleyball

So who did send defending Division I state champion Palo Alto (31-3) to its three losses this year?
Two were to southern section powers Santa Barbara and Dos Pueblos. The other came from WCAL nemesis St. Francis.
 Two of those losses went five games.
 The Division I top seeded Vikings have compiled over 1,200 kills this year -- 489 from 6-foot-5 middle blocker Melanie Wade.
 Complimenting her is 6-2 outside hitter Maddie Kuppe, who has just 378 kills.
 Six players stand 6-feet or taller for Palo Alto, who faces Salinas on Thursday at Milpitas at 5:30 p.m.
 One other strength this year has been Palo Alto's serving. It has 180 service aces.
