The defending CCS Division IV champions are as balanced as any team Palma has faced this year, having thrown for 16 touchdowns and rushed for 17 touchdowns.
Paul Bruini has caught 47 passes for the Gators, averaging just under 18 yards a catch. Sacred Heart's only road loss of the season was the Menlo-Atherton.

If Palma doesn't win by at least 3 TDs, I will be surprised. SHP is not close to as they were last season and they were destroyed by a Terra Nova that was blwn out by Bellarmine this weekend. Palma really should be in this divsion this year (I'm an alumni). What CCS should do is create a small school divivon and keep A league priivates out of it (like Palma and the WCAL- I guess SHP would be out as well). Let D3 CCS include all the top D3 level top privates and teams like a Carmel if they chose to opt up. CCS should get rid of the open divivon and allow opting up but no force ups. That way you have 4 divisions with one protected. Have 10 team playoffs and you would kep 40 teams in playoffs as there is now. The fact is the first round and second round playoffs wouldn't be any more onesided than the other sections. EBAL, primarily a public shool league with DLS, in NCS is just as good as WCAL and you don't hear about the other leagues complaining.
There will be changes next year.
unfortunately CCS is shortsided and kept the Open divivon. Makes little sense with the current CIF structure
