Monterey football and equity

Someone sent me an email asking if I remember the days when Monterey couldn't win a game for three years.
 Suggesting Monterey is headed back to those days after being forced into the MBL's 'A' division next fall is a bit extreme.
 The Toreadores will be competitive next year with a core of this year's title team coming back. A bigger question is whether they can hold up with a lack of depth -- 25 players finished this season.
 And what does the future hold for the program, whose school enrollment is not going to grow?
