Not to be too nitpicky, but this is actually a 10k time making it truly impressive. What this young man has done since leaving Alisal is amazing. If he were the 7th rated college football player in the country, we would have given him the key to the city. We should be doing the same now!
To take it one step further, when is the last time an athlete from Monterey County was a college All-American?
Monica Abbot? I'm not an expert, but that name comes to mind.
