All-league debate

I've never understood the voting process at all-league meetings?
How does a kid with 21 touchdowns in seven league games not originally voted onto the first team?
Did you penalize him because he's a sophomore, or because he didn't play in more than a couple of series' in three league games because they were blowouts?
Because if that's the criteria, coaches may tend to leave players in longer to pad stats.

Are the player's voted on to first team by the league football coaches?

Or are they nominated by the coach of the team and only awards voted on?

You need to be able to see that league's bylaws concerning the all league team for football.

Another couple of reasons a Carmel player may not be voted onto the first team.

Carmel ran up the score on a few teams, maybe ticked off the opposing team's coach.

Carmel does not have their individual stats posted on either Monterey Bay Preps or MaxPreps.

So the opposing coaches don't know the player's stats before the meeting.

I think you hit it on the nose with your first sentence on your second statement.
