Two former local standouts hoping their phone doesn't ring this weekend are Seaside graduate and Redskins tight end Tony Curtis and Salinas product and Packers offensive lineman Evan Smith.
Both did not play last year after being released in the final cut down, although Smith was resigned by Green Bay and ended up winning a Super Bowl ring.
Curtis has not played in an NFL game in two years, having spent part of the 2009 preseason with the Chiefs, Eagles and Ravens, and last season in San Francisco.
