MPC football

Depth or experience should not be an issue for the Lobos this fall, who greeted 77 players - 37 of which are sophomores.
Quarterback David Fales, who spurned an offer from the University of Wyoming to play another season for the Lobos, gives the offense a shot in the arm, earning all-conference honors last fall.
Having split time behind center last season, Fales will be given the keys to the offense this year. One of his targets is tight end Jake Davis while Jeremy Wright could see significant time as a tailback.
Davis is part of a King City High contingent that includes all-conference lineman Martin Mendez and linebacker Alex Huitzil.
Jovahn Lualemana has shown no ill effects from a season ending broken leg suffered last year while at Seaside. The freshman could see time on both sides of the field as a defensive back and tailback.
Surviving a brutal non-conference season is critical in terms of confidence. MPC never fully recovered from a 1-4 non-conference start last fall.
