Apparently double days during the dog days of summer is not a thing of the past.
Despite school starting before most football teams could hold an official practice, at least two schools spent the first week holding morning practices before school and practicing after school.
Which raises the question: Is 10 practice days in pads enough time to get ready for your first game?
