22 teams in 22 days XII
Monte Vista
I'm on board with the Mustangs. This is a program that is no longer flying under the radar, behind highly touted quarterback Taylor Cohan.
Last year the 6-foot-3 Cohan threw for 2,001 yards and 22 touchdowns in guiding Monte Vista to a school record 6-0 start.
The Mustangs were two plays away from being 9-1 last year instead of 7-3. They have turned the MBL into a four-team logjam at the top.
Cohan has his two favorite targets back in Andrew Daich and Josh Mooney. And 1,000-plus yard rusher Raymond Rondez is back.
What Monte Vista has to learn how to do is win big games. In all three of its losses, it either held the lead or was tied in the third quarter. This is the team to watch in the MBL.
