Big summers for Aldrete, Russo

Michael Aldrete and David Wayne Russo may have solidified their roles this coming season at San Jose State after playing in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League in Maryland.
 Aldrete, who started 38 games at shortstop for the Big Train, also posted a 0.00 earned run average as the teams closer, striking out 14 in 9 1/3 innings. He compiled five saves and one win.
 Russo spent the summer in a set up role for the Big Train, compiling a 1.85 earned run average in 25 1/3 innings. He was 2-1. Both will be juniors at San Jose State this season.
