Keith Rayburn graduated Wednesday as the North County valedictorian. His memorable week continues on Friday when he competes in the state track championships in the pole vault.
Rayburn, who sailed a school record 15-7 four weeks ago, won the CCS title at 15-5. Five vaulters in the state competition have sailed 16 feet or higher.
But only one achieved the feat at their respective section finals last week. Rayburn has had near misses at 16-feet. His speed is back after nursing a hamstring injury earlier this year.

should be fun...keith just cleared 16 in practice so he's got it in him... If conditions are good he should fly...
