Keith Rayburn came up one place short in his bid to reach the state track and field finals in the pole vault, going out at 15-3.
The CCS champion from North County cleared 14-9. Rayburn came in with a career best of 15-7.
Teammate Richie Casas was 11th overall in the shot put at 56-1.

john... They took 12! We just found out he's in! Now to find bigger poles!
they posted results with 12 qualifiers and just changed it to 9! The roller coaster ride continues... We'll check with meet management tomorrow...
