Five personal records vaulted five athletes into the state meet.
Stephen Dorsey of Monterey cleared 6-9 in the high jump to win it. North County's Richie Casas uncorked the shot 56-6 to finish second. Rick Standish of North County turned in a 49.66 to finish third in the 400, Max Bell of Salinas ran 4:22.66 to finish third in the 1,600 and the Condors Austin Decker cleared 14-feet to finish third in the pole vault
Casas is also headed to the state meet in the discus while teammate Keith Rayburn won the pole vault with a mark of 15-5. As a team, North County finished third while Gilroy won its first boys team title.
Dorsey's mark in the high jump vaults him into the top 10 in the state.

condors soared last night! Great moment with richie on the awards stand while rick roared down the home stretch and keith flew over the bar all at the same time... Very cool... 4 great guys moving on together! 3rd place was icing on the cake...Go condors!
