For the 14 seniors on the Toreadores roster, reaching the CCS Division II finals was a major barrier.
Monterey had a bigger than usual celebration on the mound after beating Willow Glen in the semifinals.
A weight has been lifted off their shoulders. I would suspect the Toreadores will come out and play a little more relaxed in Saturday's title game at 1 p.m.
 And that should bold well in their bid to bring home the programs first CCS title since 2005.
