Two years removed from the programs first Central Coast Section Division III title, we know little about Palma because it has played just two games.
It does return all-league hurler Julian Larimer, who will pitch next year for Army. And two of its leading hitters, Mike Valentin and Charles Byers, are back in the lineup.
Byers is one of four sophomores on the roster, joining Cameron Neff, who had three hits in his varsity debut.
Last spring the Chieftains started league play 7-1, but cooled off in the second half, closing the season with four straight losses.
