Will there be any second half changes in basketball in league play?
I don't see any in the boys.
Salinas and Carmel are headed for perfection in their respective leagues. Watsonville still has to go into Seaside. But a two-game lead seems safe.
The girls is a different story.
Carmel will run off with the MTAL title.
But the defending MBL champion Condors could be in trouble if 6-foot-4 center Lena Hruzova misses Tuesday's battle for first place with Seaside.
In the teams first meeting, Hruzova blocked 10 shots in a three-point win. Seaside has not lost since.
North Salinas can still gather a share of its second straight TCAL title if it can avenge an earlier season loss to Gilroy.
