Monterey senior safety Royce Redira was invited to take part in the Polynesian All-American senior all-star football game in Los Angeles.
The game, which is Jan. 15, features the top Polynesian high school players in the nation, and Samoa.
Last fall Redira intercepted eight passes for the Monterey Bay League champion Toreadores, including two in the CCS title game.
Redira was one of only five players from Northern California to be named to the team.

Jovahn Lualemana was also invited to play in Polynesian Bowl but has not yet recovered from his broken leg.he will still travel to LA,to be on the side lines with his Jersey on supporting his team.
John Devine are you just going to ignore their comment? I think Jovahn deserves some recognition.
It's an honor that Jovahn was invited, considering he missed half the season with a broken leg. Seaside clearly wasn't the same team when the tailback/safety was injured.
