I guess the NFC West wasn't so pathetic after all.
The Seahawks are still alive and the Super Bowl champion Saints are not.
This shouldn't have come as a complete surprise. The NFC is balanced.
Which makes you wonder what the 49ers could have done with a coaching staff that could have made an adjustment or two over the course of a game.
Remember the 49ers lost games to the Saints, Atlanta and Philadelphia by three points or less and beat Seattle.
