Make it 12 consecutive wins to start the season for the CSU-Monterey Bay women's basketball team.
The Otters shut down Cal State Dominguez Saturday with their best defensive effort of the year, posting a 67-33 win to go to 8-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
With a pair of 30-plus point wins over the weekend, CSUMB should get more than a vote for a Top 25 spot in the NCAA Division II polls.
Amber Padilla led a balanced scoring attack off the bench with 10 points. Seaside product Ashley Washington had four points in five minutes.
Perfection will be at stake this Thursday when the Otters make their longest road trip of the year to Humboldt State.
