Ending a 14-game losing streak made this year a success in itself. But the Spartans ended up with three wins and were only outscored by 19 points all season.
Gonzales is still learning how to win, as evidenced by it blowing two second-half leads. But the fact that it was competitive brought life back to a storied program.
No coach in the MTAL did a better job.
Grade: C.
